Update: I Have Received A New Camera!

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

I don’t know if you remember the story, but I broke my camera when I was still in Namibia (a little while ago).

The beauty of traveling on your own: I put the camera on the tripod to take a video when I was deflating the tyres (and it doesn’t happen often haha). Suddenly, the wind decided to blow stronger than ever and threw my camera, lens in the sand.

I’ve been seeking for help on Instagram, to see if there was a place in Namibia or in South Africa where it could get fixed. Nothing. Even ORMS in Cape Town couldn’t help since they do not deal with Sony products.

I contacted Nikon and Canon in France and the ones in Europe to see if we could try a sponsorship (a new -and even used- camera is so much money for me now). They never replied to me.

But thanks to the precious help of @sapmok I could find my saver. They put me in contact with @outdoorphotoshop in Pretoria and these guys wanted to help me straight away.

They sent me a Sony A6600 + lens a few weeks ago here, in Cape Town.

They lend me the camera for 3 months and let see how it goes afterwards. Hopefully we can extend the contract.

@outdoorphotoshop , you save the future memories of the solo expedition! THANK YOU!

PS: OUT OF SIGNAL FOR THE NEXT 4 DAYS! Enjoy life!
