Truth About Overlanding The Middle East Solo As A Woman

I can’t really say that I would have never imagined this because I try to never get influenced by TV or people. Also, the more it’s controversial, the more I wanna go and see with my own eyes, in order to make my own opinion. Of course, not everywhere on the Planet but where my heart has got enough curiosity and fascination about.

I flew to Africa -for the first time to Ethiopia, back in 2019- for that specific reason. I needed to see, to understand, and to satisfy this fascination.

I’ve always been curious about the Middle East and I never really believed these cliché of ‘the Middle East is only sandy deserts’, ‘the Middle East is so superficial’, ‘there is nothing to see in the Middle East’, or ‘women are not respected in the Middle East’.

Today I can tell you that all this is absolutely wrong. The Middle East is much more than sandy deserts and I can’t wait to show you more of this; it’s a region full with so many different tribes, cultures, traditions that it’s far from being boring, fake and superficial; there are so much to see in the Middle East that it would blow one’s mind!; and I’ve never felt so respected, admired, and protected than in the Middle East.

The locals, -the Arab world-, are so welcoming, kind, and generous with me that it’s going to be hard to leave…

I am so happy to have chosen to travel this spectacular region of the world after Africa. Because Africa is unique and extraordinary, but also intense when traveling solo. Today, the Middle East helps me to satisfy my curiosity with a peace of mind.

The UAE, Oman and Saudi have been unforgettable so far. Even though, I miss my beloved Africa so deeply.
