To Break The Stereotypes

I will always remember when I started to tell people about my plan to leave Africa for the Middle East.

‘Don’t go there, it’s too dangerous’

‘You’re a woman traveling solo, it’s way too risky’

Etc.

These were almost the only things I could hear from the very first people I told about that new plan. I will never judge these people and their thoughts. If they think this way, there is a reason: TV.

Of course, there are risks everywhere on the Planet, and if we listen to TV too much, better to stay home.

I’m personally happy to live without a TV since the age of 19. TV makes me waste my time, my energy, and my dreams.

I actually noticed something very interesting that I need to share with you: people who never went to the Middle East are very worried for me and quite pessimistic, on the other hand, people who traveled through the Middle East kept telling me that this region is one of the safest in the world, and that it stole their heart.

Today, I share this last thought: the beginning of the Middle East solo expedition is stealing my heart day after day. The UAE and Oman have been incredibly safe and spectacular.

I still can’t believe the peaceful way of life in these 2 first countries of the Arabian adventure. The kindness, the respect, the generosity, the trust, the love are mind blowing.

I’m even more impatient to discover more, and to share as much as I can in here. And to break the stereotypes. Stereotypes are the roots of racism; the cancer of humanity.

Also, that reel I did about the route planned: that route is NOT accurate: it just shows a brief idea of the countries I want to cross to get back to Europe. I might add other countries on the way, and to avoid others…

AND: I cannot travel everywhere. I need to work again, to save again, in order to get back on the road. Iran and Lebanon are on my top list but impossible to travel this time.
