The Route I've Traveled So Far & Where I Am Heading To

I think it could be interesting and even more concrete for you to see where I am, what I traveled so far, and where I want to go in the next weeks/months.

The red line indicates the route I traveled since I picked up my friend at Cape Town airport. Our main stops so far: the Cape Winelands, the Karoo, the Kalahari (SA side), Bokspits border with Botswana, Tsabong, Kang, Ghanzi and now heading to Maun and the Moremi Game Reserve.

The red dotted line indicates the route we are going to take after Maun: along the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to Serowe and then to arrive in Gaborone (the capital), and where my friend has her flight back to France.

In Gabs, I’m going to visit my host family who took care of me 2 years ago when the coco thing happened. I had to leave the rented car at the time and isolate. I lived with them for 2.5 months and they treated me as a member of their family. You cannot imagine how happy I am to see them again after 2 weird years…

The blue and purple dotted lines are the routes I’m thinking to take in order to get to the Serengeti in Tanzania mid/end of July. Remember, I’d like to witness the Great Migration. I’ll mostly be on the road until I get to Tanzania.

Please note: - I want to go up to Ethiopia (to see the tribes I met 2 years ago); - I’ll be back to Southern Africa; - I wanna take my time in countries such as Malawi and Mozambique (on the way back to SA) - I have NO PLANNED route and this one is going to change and that’s the best.

Any suggestions regarding Zambia or Zimbabwe though?
