Take Off Your Sunglasses.

I had no idea what to post tonight. I’m exhausted because the past 3 days have been very very intense. Remember that I do not post stories in real time and that I left this magical place of South Luangwa since a little while now.

I’ve been driving so much for such short distances. The road -or I should say the ‘tracks’- are epic and the scenery exceptional. I’ve been crossing a few game reserves and that’s also the reason why I cannot camp anywhere. I always need to reach the next camping spot before dark and it’s very tiring. But I love it, I love this adventure from the bottom of my heart.

Why is ‘take off your sunglasses’ for? Because there is something I absolutely avoid: wearing my sunglasses when crossing villages and meeting with the locals. African people are so true, you can’t cheat in Africa. Also, I love people eyes in general, yes, don’t think I’m crazy if I stare at your eyes if we meet one day. I love eyes so I think it’s being fair to take off my sunglasses so they can read my eyes as well.

On this picture, I wear my sunglasses, obviously, I’m driving into the wilderness of Zambia with nobody around. Also, my eyes get very bright and sensitive at a high luminosity.

Anyway, I think our eyes reflect our soul and that sunglasses must be taken off when communicating. Especially here, in Africa.
