Story Behind The Scenes Of Overlanding Solo

Updated: Aug 1, 2023

What about these pictures? Yeah, I’m posing and it’s so not natural (one is even blurry!). Why? Because when you travel solo you have nobody to take photos of you during the expedition. How does it work then? I stop the car, I setup my tripod, I program my camera and I run in front of my Rafiki. 3, 2, 1: pretend!

It doesn’t really matter, right? But it’s always nice to have some memories, and sometimes not only in your heart. And not only for you. I have a big family following every steps and I like to share these posing photos with them. And with you.

Anyway, keep in mind that I’m pretending on each photograph and there is no chance to be spontaneous. But let me tell you one thing: I do it with all my heart, I’m having fun and I feel the happiest here in Africa. I’m so proud to keep fighting for what I love the most. I’m posing but this smile is authentic.

Overlanding across Africa definitely has its challenges and I will never forget this solo expedition.

Enjoy and welcome to the new ones in here!
