Solo Expedition Across Europe Is Over: What Follows Next Is Crazy!

Updated: Aug 10, 2023

I’m writing this post 5km away from the border with Turkey. I absolutely cannot calm down, I’m way too excited. Europe has been great but I know what follows next is going to be even more powerful. Why? Because I feel it’s matching what I’m looking for in this expedition to Africa.

Below some data reviews about the first part into Europe:

Route: FRANCE TO GREECE Departure date: 26/01/2022 Length: 20 DAYS Number of km: 2,916 KM Number of countries so far: 9 Itinerary: FRANCE - ITALY - SLOVENIA (transit) - CROATIA - BOSNIA (transit) - MONTENEGRO - ALBANIA (transit) - NORTH MACEDONIA - GREECE

The second part will start with Turkey -hopefully I’ll manage to cross the border in a couple of hours- and then the route is still uncertain. The only thing I’m sure about is that I want to take it easy since I wish to explore each of the following countries the best I can. Also, this second part is going to be people-centred, I feel I’ll have to learn very much from the people I’ll meet on the road.

Ok, time to have some breakfast and to GO!
