Definitely not the most instagramable photos in the world but that’s reality when you prepare the biggest adventure of your life.
And I actually don’t care about fake images or too perfect travels.
The first photo has been taken during my first overland experience in Africa, back in 2020, (with a rented Hilux) and when I had to give up on this dream to get repatriated because of the worldwide pandemic.
You often ask me what would be the main advice to someone who wants to go for a solo overland adventure. I’m not an expert, but from my personal experience I would say: if you still want to go for it despite all the negative and warning around, it means you’re meant to GO FOR IT.
If I would have listen to strangers, friends, family or my boss at the time, I would have stayed in Europe and I would have never been aware of the beauty of the world we live in.
The worldwide pandemic destroyed my first dream so I was decided to take my revenge. I couldn’t stay in Africa? No problem.
I will buy a good 4x4, I will build a basic equipment on it, and I will drive back to Africa.
I spent 20 years saving money, working my ass off, not partying, I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke, I don’t like eating in restaurants, and I hate shopping. Trust me, you can save money with such a life.
I was working on the weekends, sometimes at night, and I was finding strategies to save even 50 euros per month (like walking 3 hours per day to go to work). YES.
I’m not daddy’s girl, I’m not rich, but I always knew I wanted to be a nomad and to seek truth.
Today, I realised my biggest wish to go back to Africa, and I could even extend to the Middle East. My heart is full as the moon.
I’m happy I never bought a flat, and that I kept fighting for what life is all about: our heart.
Ps: my travel planner document will be entirely revealed for my Patreon members this weekend.
