My Instagram Account Is Actually A Travel Diary!

Updated: Aug 10, 2023

Funny thing, I’m surprised to see how much I use Instagram these days. I usually never share this much, I actually always tend to keep a great part of my life secret.

Since I started this solo expedition to Africa, I felt I needed to keep sharing this adventure with you. I shared the whole prep and I thought it would be logical and fair to keep doing so with the expedition itself. I might sound selfish but it also makes me happy. You care about me and I do care about you.

You give me kindness, support and love, every day. Sharing this overland journey the most authentic way possible is the least I can do. Please note, I’m taking the risk to post in real time.

When I was a little girl I wanted to be a reporter (and a truck driver, but I’ll keep this story for later). So, I’m having fun pretending I’m kind of a reporter some days. I’m serious, I’m sharing everything with you. My emotions, my favourite quotes, my favourite songs, my ups and my downs, my challenges, my passion, my DREAM.

I’ve noticed that this Instagram account is actually way more than just a social media support, it has become my travel diary, day by day, emotions after emotions.

Challenges are positive. Always. When I share some of them (like the ferry solution part), you start worrying for me. It’s really kind, it touches me a lot. But do not worry, this makes me stronger, it shows me the way, and it makes this travel even more powerful. Emotions are powerful. I assume everything, no shame, and I’ll make it to Africa.

The first picture is where I stayed for the last few days (not tonight, too cold, I’m staying at a little hotel here in Cappadocia). I didn’t want to show pictures of this wild spot earlier for safety reasons (this region is very popular).

Thanks for the love.
