My Hilux Finally Got Fitted A...

New country, new style.

I drove to Belgium yesterday to bring Rafiki to another car workshop.

I remember people telling me that I should get a winch before driving to Africa on my own.

And in order to get a winch mounted, my Toyota Hilux required to get equipped with a front bumper.

But the prices are so high that I preferred to save my money during my time on the road, and to make it last longer.

Luckily I never needed a winch, and could easily enjoy the terrains of Africa as much as possible.

But it’s not because I was lucky that I should keep my weak plastic bumper at the front. I’m planning to get back on the road one day and for an even more rock’n’roll adventure -so better to be properly equipped this time.

I contacted ARB and I asked them if they could help me. And they said yes. They sent this front bumper to one of their dealers in Belgium (close to where I was staying the last days).

And this is the final 2025 Rafiki completely ready for the most insane solo expedition that I hope I can realise as soon as money gets into my wallet again.

To receive the equipment you need for free is more than cool -but it will never pay my adventure. So now, enough of products and let’s make it work.
