After so many emotions, how good it feels to look at these pictures from Malawi. Because yes, I had an amazing -and unforgettable- time here in Africa, and I will have incredible days coming soon, for sure.
I do not want bad events to change the way I feel about Africa, I do not want them to tarnish the extraordinary memories I took the time to create here, with Rafiki. I’m beyond that, and my heart knows it.
Bad luck is bad luck and there is nothing we can do but slowly heal your mind and recalibrate with your desires. I do not want to leave Africa yet; I do not want to take decisions too early, and especially when I’m not in a good place in my mind. Because today, I feel very anxious, stressed and confused to get back on the road again, on my own. Even for a few kilometres to get to that place where I can relax for a while in the South of Namibia. I have many ideas though, I’m thinking a lot about another special continent…but let’s see that later.
My priority is to pause, to rest and to keep sharing this solo expedition with you. Looking back at my adventures in Malawi cheers me up. I loved this country very much and I’m so excited to share more.
In these photos, I was on my way to the Mushroom Farm Camping (and lodge), an exceptional place overlooking the mountains and unique lake Malawi. The dirt road was steep, epic, and scenic, and we had a blast with Rafiki!
