In Real Time: I Left Cape Town & I'm Planning The 3rd Part Of The Solo Expedition

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

‘Wait, I’m confused, what do you mean by the 3RD part?? I thought you were touring Africa and basta.’

Not exactly. I follow my heart and my heart is a passionate vagabond. And this one gets new ideas evolving with time and experiences.

Part I, start of the solo expedition, across Europe and Turkey (3 months). Part II, the chore of the expedition, roaming Southern and Eastern Africa (12 months so far). Part III, final stretch of the expedition, and the reason why my heart is undecided yet (10 more months).

In real time, I have left Cape Town to slowly head to the East part of the country. And to be very honest with you (and with me), I have absolutely no idea what to do after the ‘small loop’. (The small loop is: crossing South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and Botswana).

I came to a point where living the present moment is not that easy anymore when money is running out. I still have to anticipate a shipping or a drive back to Europe (Rafiki is a foreign car and cannot stay for long either). And my visa for SA, Nam and Bots expire soon (3 months per year - I have to fly back to my home country to renew it).

I thus have many ideas but the main one is as follow: I want the last part of this expedition to be CRAZY, CHALLENGING, NEW, UNPRECEDENTED, EPIC, ORIGINAL, WILD, UNFORGETTABLE.

Stay tuned, will detail these ideas in the next days.
