In Real Time: I Have Left Africa.

This real / delayed time thing is driving me crazy and probably you as well. The most important thing is that I do not forget any moments, emotions, and other ‘backstage’ stories’. I keep sharing the solo expedition the most raw and authentic way possible, in (almost) every details.

And these details I want to share actually dig the gap between real and delayed time even more. How is it possible to share a whole day within 8x15 sec stories? It’s just impossible.

The initial idea was to post in delay for safety reasons. I’m alone, and even though you are all so kind with me, we still never know. And what happened in Namibia reinforced this safety strategy.

Today, I’m posting with weeks of delay. And again, every moment is stored in my heart, intact.

So, in real time, after Rafiki left Africa, I left Africa myself. This was not an easy moment at all but necessary.

I still have a lot to share about the last weeks in Africa but eventually, I will soon overcome the delay.

Because in real time, I’m not back to Europe yet.

I have arrived in the region I was supposed to cross at the beginning of the solo expedition: THE MIDDLE EAST.

Sadly, it’s a very bad timing, and I will have to plan, wisely. But this is another story.

I miss my Africa, so much. But again, I know this is the place I will settle down, finally.

In the meantime, let’s drive back to Europe, slowly, carefully, with enough curiosity to make this last stretch of the expedition: unforgettable.

AFRICA, I LOVE YOU. FOREVER.

This last stretch is a gigantic financial risk I’m making. But hopefully, I will be able to work again soon, in Europe…

PS: don’t believe the relaxing vibe of this photo. I almost fell down the ladder to pose and pretend on time with the timer… I was sweating, stinky, and a bit worried.
