I’ve been on the road since 5 months now. I met many people, so many beautiful souls with fascinating stories. People from gas stations, campings, villages, the cargo ship company, the road, police (yes, it happened twice in Botswana!!) and, of course, customs officers.
It’s so funny because most of them come to me with such a confused face. 90% of the time, the first question is: ‘sorry but, are you traveling alone?’.
And when I answer in the affirmative, some become pales, others even more confused, and some others sad or excited.
I love traveling alone for that specific situation: getting to know people on this Planet and sharing personal stories with strangers.
Yes, I’m traveling alone and I’m very happy! Being alone is not necessarily a choice or a goal in my life, but let’s say that my life drove me where I am and I want to take the best of it: my freedom.
Again, I’m more than convinced that true happiness shouldn’t depend on someone else (a partner, parents, friends, any people), on society, on wealth, on possessions, etc. True personal happiness depends on us, on what our gut can create and on what our heart believes.
Draw your own life your OWN way. WHATEVER you are or you want to become, if you are TRULY happy, WELL DONE my friend.
