It’s official, the solo expedition has freshly reached 50,000km since I left France, in January 2022.
The data is in real time since I’m posting with a couple of weeks of delays.
10,000km throughout Europe & Türkiye (Part I);
35,000km across Southern and Eastern Africa (Part II);
5,000km through the Middle East so far (Part III, last part) -I’m still at the beginning of this last part.
And hopefully many more kilometres ahead! That is all I wish for Rafiki and me, because we enjoy this lifetime odyssey so so so so so so much.
Rafiki’s breakdowns: ZERO (by the way, I’m so happy to read you. So many bought or are considering buying a Hilux as an overland vehicle, glad you DO IT, you will NEVER regret it).
I honestly cannot imagine facing regular breakdowns while traveling on my own anyway (so much money and energy that I wouldn’t be able to cope with).
