Do you know what? I would have never believed overlanding would have become my life one day.
However, I always knew that I was made to live a nomadic life. Always. Again, settling down never appealed me. I’ve been raised on a sailboat, I’ve been changing school every year, I moved places almost 30 times, I lived in some places around the globe, I actually always had an excuse not to settle down.
But when I decided to quit my life in Europe and to overland Africa I was wondering if I would regret this choice once on the road. And so far: NOT AT ALL!
The road is my freedom and Africa is my shelter. I finally experience who I truly am every single day. It sometimes reminds me this life on the sailboat and I just love it. I actually had no idea I loved it this much.
But yes, this is slowly becoming my life now. I can’t wait to be on my own again, like during this first expedition from France to Turkey, it’s going to be EPIC!
I’m enjoying the last days with the host family here in Gabs, and I’m already SO exciting to be on my own…with Mr Rafiki (yes Rafiki is a He ).
